CONLOC-Aktivator 953 20g

Is a ready-to-use, solvent-based, liquid to activating the cure of UV adhesive CONLOC UV 683.

Typical uses: In case of laminated glass and other substrates impermeable to UV-light as well as in case of bonds that cannot be reached by UV light CONLOC UV 683 can be cured with CONLOC Activator without UV radiation. Typical applications are e.g. : bonding  glass in U-shaped profiles, fittings and handles that cover each other etc. For bonding laminated glass daylight curing grade CONLOC UV 688 can be used as well.

Application: Adhesion surfaces must be dry, clean and free from dust and substances liable to impair adhesion.
Apply a thin coat of CONLOC Activator to one of the adhesion surfaces. The ratio of activator and adhesive should be approx. 5:95. During a short drying time apply the adhesive to the other adhesion surface and join the parts. Adjustment is possible for several seconds, afterwards do no longer move the parts. Initial adhesion strength is achieved after several minutes, final adhesion strength after about 4 hours. Do not use this method for bonds that require high optical clarity because discoloration of the adhesive cannot be excluded.
