A thin layer of metallic crystal is vapour-deposited directly after rolling the glass, a colourful shimmering surface effect is created, which we call "iridescent coated". These glass sheets are often abbreviated to "Iri". In Oceanside-compatible fusing glass, the iridescent coating is highly fire-resistant and does not burn away in the fusing furnace.
