It is not only for glass fusing that Oceanside offers an extensive colour range of plain opaque glasses. Although the focus is certainly on fusing, these uni opal and opaque glasses are typically also used in mosaic design.

For photographers, the 1009s-F plays a special role. Due to the combination of rolling, post-treatment and a long cooling line, the glasses from Oceanside show only very slight to almost no rolling marks otherwise usual for rolled glass. Thanks to its very smooth surface, the black Oceanside 1009s-F is also used for the wet collodion process on black glass.
